Episode One ~ Chenai
Off to Chenai (formerly Madras) and crispy pancakes, Dosa, where vegetarian food is the norm . Bikers need transport so off to the factory for the classic Royal Enfield. Next to a market for buches of bananas, just of the tree by the looks of things and then a cup of Chai tea .
Cooking stuffed parathas, with a curry sauce.
Off to the main spice growing region, Cardomon by the truckload.
Elephants appear nearby and come down to the lake for a drink.
Prawns and deep fried curry leaf.
Cardomom and saffron martinis to finish off the evening. Cheers!
Series Summary ~
In this third series Simon and Dave will be crossing Southern India and cooking up some vegetarian cuisine. Also they will visit Belgium the Alsace, Argentina and Morocco, from Marrakesh to the Sahara.
In the first series the lads traveled to: Namibia, Isle of Man and Ireland, and Transylvania and in the second series Turkey, Vietnam and Mexico.
Simon King
Simon King is from Newcastle and he is an assistant director and location manager for film and TV. An avid biker he mixes his love of food, cooking and biking into an enjoyable occupation r is it pastime?
David Myers
Dave Myers is from Barrow-in-Furness is a make-up artist, at the BBC. He has traveled extensively and makes a natural partner for Simon as tey enjoy the scenery and cooking on their excellent TV series.
Series Three ~ The Hairy Biker Ride Again
Episode One
Simon and Dave visit Chennai (previously known as Madras) to the home of one of the biggest fruit and vegetable markets in the whole of Asia, and not to mention where Royal Enfield bikes are still made.
