Nigella's Birthday ~ Future Trends

They say we should never ask a lady her age, however I can't help but notice the list of websites wishing Nigella a happy 47th birthday!

So I would like to take this opportunity to wish Nigella a very happy birthday and thanks for all the great tv programs and recipes this past year! I hope that Nigella is given a day off from cooking and has something delicious cooked for her, maybe a very decent restaurant to relax in?

In terms of her worldwide appeal ~ Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand have all fallen under her spell!  In New Jersey, the Star-Ledger refers to her brief mention in a new book called "Next Now: Trends for the Future" (Palgrave, Macmillan ~ 256 pages, published 26th Dec 2006). The remarkable Marian Salzman has cowritten the book with advertising manager Ira Matathia where they debate a number of trends, including food ~ for example discussing 'sexy television chefs like Nigella Lawson preparing sumptuous meals' and 'organic grazing'.  It seems that Nigella's influence knows no end.

In the UK ~ after a number of recent entertaining and successful prorgams, Nigella Bites and Christmas Kitchen, we can look forward to her appearance on UKTV. Some of her programs are repeated on UKTV and the website is a good source of Nigella's recipes.
