Nigella Christmas: Food, Family, Friends, Festivities 

Party Time with Nigella, bite sized potato cakes and smoked salmon, crab and avocado wraps, chickpea hummus and a great martini recipe.

Crab and avocado wraps ~ crab meat and mayoniase, horse radish - wasabi, seasame oil, iceberg lettuce and a wrap, tortilla. Add avocado.

Cocktail, whiskey, sour apple liquer, green apple syrup?

A green apple martini ~ Whole bottle of gin, same of sour apple liquer, green apple syrup ~ into the fridge and add sliced apple when ready to serve.

Use store cupboard stand bys ~ red pepper hummus, with paprika and red peper srips. You can serve onto toast as well. Chick peas, two jars of chargrilled peppers plus paprika, lime juice, would you believe cream cheese? Add garlic oil and blend carefully. Hot stuff!

White choc and peppermint shots? White chocolate buttons melted, cream, two whites of an egg and some peppermint flavour. Whisk.

Potato cakes ~ instant potato powder. Begin with a three egg batter and add full fat milk, olive oil plus spring onions, lemon juice. Add instant mashed potato and plain flour, plus baking powder. Whisk and griddle.

Make the cream and horseradish. Add snippets of salmon.

Finally small sausages covered in a honey based soy and sesame glaze.

Flowers to set the mood, and grand party food! Old cans for the vases and set out bread sticks and tea light candles.
